Today I planted marigolds.
Marigolds are said to be a perfect companion
in the vegetable garden, they keep away pest
both above and below ground.
Not to mention the pop of color
is heavenly.
Many people are turned off to the smell,
but it really doesn't bother me.
I guess their scent is what helps them do their job.

I'm sure when mind start to bloom they won't
look anything like these lush beauties.
