This morning we had to go to the hospital for some lab work
ordered by Mom's neurologist, Dr. Kersulis.
Blood work and MRI
What an adventure!
First, Mom's hearing aid is on the blink
(appointment for that Thursday)
she can't hear a thing.
We've been communicating all week with
post it notes.
Second of all, ten minutes before we were to leave
this morning, she has an accident in her pants
(lesson learned...always have a backup plan).
Thirdly, it was raining cats and dogs.
We are back at home now and Mom was exhausted.
She had a bowl of cereal and took a nap.
The couch wouldn't do for this morning nap,
she needed her own bed and quilt.
When she rolled out of the MRI
there were tears in her eyes.
Shaking her head she said,
"I'm glad I didn't know what to expect,
I'll hear that ponding noise in my head the rest of the day".

I'm making her a pie as amends
Poor Mom. Poor you. Interesting that she heard pounding in spite of her hearing aid not working.
